0:39.9	talking before we started rolling about the ways that we use AI here. Now, I've heard you talk about
0:44.5	that there's almost, and if I use language that doesn't sound right, correct me, but that there's
0:49.8	almost a coordinated effort to make people afraid of AI. Yes. Ironically, despite everything I'm saying here, I go the opposite direction.
0:57.5	I want people to stare nakedly at the things that are concerning, but I am so pro-AI and
1:03.5	so optimistic for where we go.
1:05.7	I just think we have to be really thoughtful.
1:08.9	Why has there been a coordinated effort to make people afraid and who is driving
1:13.3	that? There are groups that are true believers that AI is going to kill us all.
1:22.1	Because it will become super intelligent? Because it will become super intelligent and
1:26.5	it will be a new type of
1:27.9	species that has no use for a human. And again, those people like put such a big prize
1:33.5	and like pure intellectual horsepower that, you know, they had these charts where it's like
1:38.9	gorilla is here, a human is here, AI is in the ceiling.
1:47.7	And in the same way we treat gorillas or ants, AI is going to treat us.
1:49.1	I just don't believe that.
1:54.7	Like, there's, I think, a threshold for consciousness that something becomes valuable.
2:02.3	Now, do you think without consciousness, the AI will not have the drive to enslave or it won't have the ability to enslave? Let's get back to that. Let me just finish the question, who's driving the fear?
2:11.1	Because I think it is a real coordinated effort. And so there are these people that are like
2:17.0	true believers.
2:18.6	Now there's like a community that comes around and it becomes maybe somewhat profitable.
2:24.9	They can write books.
