Today, as pressure mounts on Boris Johnson,

the Conservative Party may soon be looking for a new leader.

Could it be Liz Truss?

As foreign secretary,

I will ensure that our foreign policy delivers for everyone across our great country.

She's the foreign secretary, the Minister for Women and Equalities,

and now the country's chief Brexit negotiator.

Liz Truss, also the MP for Southwest Norfolk,

might reasonably be expected to have her hands full.

The world is moving very fast, and ideas are moving even faster.

But with Boris Johnson facing growing calls from his own colleagues to resign,

the Conservative Party could soon be looking for a new leader.

Every day, there's more revelations.

I think we're up to 17 incidents now.

I'm pretty sure that's not the end of it.

As colleagues are saying to one another and off the record,

I sadly think that the Prime Minister's position is untenable.

And Liz Truss, perhaps best known for her goofy public persona

and taste for expensive lunches,

has made little secret of her ambition to be Britain's next Prime Minister.
