| 1:15.8 | One study found this attitude to be common in American participants as recently as 2019. |
| 1:22.0 | The good news though is that the researchers behind that study did find that people |
| 1:26.1 | cared more about inequality after spending just 10 minutes in a virtual simulation. |
| 1:32.2 | And then along came COVID-19. |
| 1:35.4 | Suddenly, it wasn't a simulation anymore. |
| 1:38.4 | Millions of people were experiencing real hardship. |
