Okay, after the first meeting the Continental Congress

in 1774, John Adams wrote to his wife. We not only prayed, but we studied four chapters of the Bible. I must beg of you, Abigail.

Read the 35th Psalm to your friends. Read it to your father. The Congress spent

three hours in prayer at our first meeting. The sermon was preached on Psal 35. Then've proclaimed a continental fast. Millions will be upon their knees at once

before their great Creator imploring his forgiveness and blessings and his smiles on American

councils and arms. The awakening of God was then the

awakening of God is now. And you know God responds when we call on him and we

ask in faith. faith. Our faith is founded in the

word of God. That's right. And so we're privileged to have with us Tim

But I want to make one point about this and all you've said, you've kept talking to us about

the Foundation, our founding fathers, and their faith, and even our Constitution,

our Declaration of Independence, it all came out of scripture and the references,

34% came out of the scripture and the importance of noting that is in that

praying is that we can take even our Constitution before the throne of God because it is so rooted

and grounded in God's word with a Bible in one hand
