I was supposed to do America reports to talk about the one big beautiful bill at two o'clock

at Fox News and then they decided to put on somebody who actually knew what they were talking

about no like a member of Congress or something like that so that happens it's all right name

of the game but we're hanging out today and we get a lot to chat about so i'm glad you're here and then

i'm on a good streak though in terms of not getting bumped to believe it or not because you make

it on once this week that's huge and we're set for thursday also huge if it happens but either way

and i'm feeling you for jimmy failas radio show tomorrow and thursday so we got a lot to talk

about and we'll be here for the next couple days point is this the one big beautiful bill um look it's a steaming pile of uh of of of pork and it's gross and there's so much to hate about it the problem is that you've got these moderate republicans I'll use the term moderate, so I'd be polite, who are insisting on the salt tax remaining in it or their hard nose on this, a $40,000 salt deduction, state and local tax deduction.

You've got the fiscal guys who are part of the Republican study committee and also part of the Freedom Caucus who are saying, this is not the version we sent the Senate. The Senate made it worse. And we're a no on this. And so basically, you can't afford to lose anybody. And there's already been a couple members of Congress today who've already came out and said, absolutely not.

So the bill will not be signed by the president on July 4th.

The next round, here's where it goes from here.

On Wednesday of next week, they'll come back and they'll take it up in the House.

They're going to do their markups and then they

have to send it back to the senate on the senate side you had susan collins who voted no

her point on voting no was that she felt that it would hurt rural hospitals because of the

formula that they use with the Medicaid tax reimbursement and not to get into the weeds and all this stuff, but they put in 50 million dollars to offset that to try to help rural hospitals. She felt like it wasn't enough. So she voted no. Rand Paul voted no because Rand Paul said that this bill is a bloated mess.

J.D. Vance had to come in and be the tie-breaking vote.

And then I heard today from a congressman from Maryland who's on the House Freedom Caucus who said he's a no.
