The Moophe. In Luke chapter 16, Jesus tells a parable about a rich man and a beggar, whose experiences after death were vastly different.

Part of what he's teaching in this parable is that the decisions we make during our time on earth will impact our lives for eternity.

This man obviously wasn't prepared to do what Jesus had said in the previous parable. Remember

in verse 9 of chapter 16, he had said use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves.

This man hadn't made a friend of the beggar at his gate, clearly. He must have passed in the morning.
