For nearly a century, a North Carolina Institute has quietly explored the hidden frontiers of the human mind.

It began in the 1930s with J.B. Rine, a pioneering botanist turned parapsychologist and his wife, Louisa E. Rhine,

who together established a laboratory at Duke University dedicated to the scientific study

of extrasensory perception. Their early experiments sought to quantify phenomena like telepathy

and clairvoyance using controlled methodologies and statistical analysis. The Rhine Research Center

emerged from this groundbreaking work. Over the decades, researchers at the Rine

have investigated a range of psychic phenomena, from precognition to psychokinesis, always striving to

maintain rigorous scientific standards. Their work has often challenged conventional wisdom,

sparking debate and controversy within the scientific community.

It continues to do so to this day.

A few weeks ago, a dear friend of the show, Alison Jordanlin, tour developer for American Ghostwalks, and creator of paranormalwomen.com, invited our very own Scott Philberg on an

adventure that would take him to the Ryan Research Center for the first time in his life.

She was traveling there to assist renowned paranormal researcher Dr. Nancy's Ingroni in the donation of some materials from her and her late husband's considerable library to the Rhine.

Scott was thrilled not only to be a part of that, but to meet John G. Kruth, the current executive

director of the Research Center, and the founder and education director of the Rhine Education

Center.

He is an expert in the scientific exploration of the paranormal.

Mr. Kruth brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the study of consciousness and its
