Why do we need revelation?

Let's go back to our favorite passage, Isaiah 55, beginning in verse 8, for my thoughts are not your thoughts neither are your ways my ways declares the Lord verse 9

for as the heavens are higher than the earth. So are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Revelation is important because God is totally different than us.
