With the current rise in psychedelic popularity today, his mental explorations were led to dive

into the history, culture, and philosophy about these drugs becoming mainstream and what the

potential downsides could be and how they've been seen historically and how they affected

individuals and societies throughout time.

Hey, thank you so much. Thanks for having me on.

Yeah, I'm so excited for this conversation. I heard about you a couple months ago.

My friend Dan was like, have you heard of this book, Return of the Dragon?

And I was like, no, what are you

talking about? And he's like, well, Lewis Ungent was on Float's podcast, who's a good friend of

mine. And you got to check it out, Kara. And so I hopped over, listened to the podcast episode on

Float Universe, got the book. And I was like, he's got to come on my show. I've got to talk to Lewis. Yeah, well,

I'm glad you checked it out and I'm glad the word is getting out. So that's great. Yeah, I don't

know how much you know about me, but I was on like a deep, endless exploration in the psychedelic

realm for like two decades. I'm 40 now. I actually haven't done psychedelics in probably about two

years. Just kind of naturally quit when I went through a huge awakening in my life. I was,

I don't want to get too much into my story, but I was essentially somebody who believed in God,

but didn't understand what God was, was like, I can move my arm. How am I doing this?
