Here in the book of acts, the mode of Jesus' return is said to be parallel to the mode of his departure.

And his departure was visible, and he ascended on clouds of glory on the Shakina cloud.

And the expectation is that his return will be just as visible and just as glorious when he comes at the end of the age.

There is a lot of the age.
