doing? Pete, I'm doing really really well thank you for having me on

can't wait to have a an amazing conversation if it's anything like what we just did before before we

hit record this is going to be good yeah no i've been looking forward to it too because look i get i

get sent a lot of books all right and i knew you before your drop through the door, so it sort of got

to the top of the pile. And I tend to start with a healthy skepticism, but I devoured your book

in two settings. I think you've done an outstanding job. It's not like anything else I've read

on the subject. So it is yeah the retirement you

didn't see coming and looking forward to getting into that but you want to just give folks a sort of

brief bio who you are what you're up to and how you got to this point i think is always interesting

as well yeah um firstly thank you coming from you sir um who i um you know who I've looked up to for years. That means a lot. So thank you. Yeah, so, this feels like Alcoholics Anonymous. I'm Dan. Hi. I'm a recovering cricketer, stroke golfer that never quite made it. That to find a real a real job when I was about

20-21 so yeah when I realized I wasn't good enough to do that and I mean very very whistle

stop tour I started work at m&G investments and so I started in the investment management

world worked my way through, went into sales,

ended up in financial advisor, IFA sales. And then had a couple of other jobs within the

asset management business, ultimately ending up legal and general investment management,

out on the road,
