Jesus went to the cross for us. He took our

sin, our shame, and he died a criminal's death. I've been thinking a lot lately about what it means,

this atoning sacrifice, this substitution, my sin, my shame, my sickness for his shalom. You think about that.

Jesus was content to be misunderstood by those who would

reject him. Why? Because you were the joy set before him. He died. He did. He died. There's proof of that.
