Hi, podcast family. I hope you guys are doing super well. This week on the Upper Room Dallas podcast, we have our Resurrection Sunday message where Miller is talking about our hearts and the health of our hearts and how sorrow and our hearts may last for the night when the day of trouble hits.

And just like how when the disciples saw the risen Lord, their hearts were filled with joy and they rejoiced.

And the resurrection, the resurrection, it's not just that the blood justifies us before the father, is that the blood actually positions us now to be filled with the Holy Spirit. And that we can

walk in power, power of a transformed life. And that you being reconciled to God, it's not just a theology, it's a

reality, and that reality transforms you from the inside out. And so tonight, I really want to talk

about the heart and the resurrection's impact upon the heart. Your heart is so precious to Jesus.

Your heart. And I know it's like, okay,

what does that mean? Here's what it means biblically. Proverbs says, above all else, guard your heart,

for from it flows the issues of life, or it's the wellspring of life. So you live your life

through your heart. It's the filter that you experience life through.

And one of the things that happens to us is when we go through trouble, when we go through trial, when things don't turn out the way that we thought they would, our hearts are impacted.

Our hearts are impacted. There's another proverb that says hope deferred

makes the heart sick. What's hope deferred? Hope deferred is you had an expectation that life was going to

go this way, but your reality is different than your expectation. And that chasm between expectation and reality,
