Hey, I want to welcome all of our partner churches from all over the country, more and more from around the world.

I just spent two days in Hoboken with our partners, a bunch of our international partners, our national partners, church partners.

For those of you who are invested in deeper, wider, it is working. It is absolutely unbelievable.

And I want to welcome all of our Atlanta area churches, of course, and our friends down on the south side. To get started today, I want to do something a little unusual. It's probably a great way to start, actually, but we just don't normally do it this way. I want us to read two verses of scripture together out loud. And if you're not religious or you're from a different faith

tradition, not a big deal. Obviously, you don't have to participate. If you're Jewish, you should love

this. This is right out of your scriptures. Anyway, and these two verses are stated as a prayer.

And Sandra and I have been praying this prayer or praying this passage of scripture

literally for many,

many years. We don't even remember when we first started. We went through a class years ago

on personal finance, and these verses were part of that curriculum, and we memorized them

as part of the curriculum, and we just incorporated it into our prayer life. So I'm going to

read it to you first, and then I'd love for us to read it out loud together. And part of it

might be a little threatening, but anyway, here we go. Here's what it says in Proverbs chapter 30.

Keep falsehood and lies far from me. Give me neither poverty nor riches.

That's the uncomfortable part.

But give me only my daily bread.

In ancient times, they live day to day based on how much bread they had.

I mean, this was critical, as we're going to see, even today's message.

Otherwise, I might have too much and disown you and say, who is the Lord?

Or, if it goes the other way, or I might become poor and steal and so dishonored, the name of my God.

So if you have as bad an eyesight as I do, and you can't read this, I understand.

But anyway, if you can read this, I would love for us all to read this at all of our churches together.
