You know, I think about you a lot because you are on the front lines of the fight for democracy

in really this point, literal ways, not even figurative ways.

But I was reflecting on when you first ran for governor. And I think when you got elected,

everyone thought that what you would become known for, they hoped you would become known for,

was dealing with the state of Illinois' sort of historic problems, problems you inherited,

involving its budget. And I was reflecting on this that actually, you then actually became known

as governor who had to lead a very large and diverse state through COVID. And then you turned

into having to be literally like a full-time warrior for democracy

because Donald Trump was targeting your state, was targeting your cities, was,

was, you know, deploying federal officers and, you know, threatening the military.

I mean, all of this stuff.
