Hello, good friends. Happy Friday, and thanks for joining us for this week's

Reporter's Roundtable here on the Bill Press pod before you head off for the Memorial Day weekend.

Once again, it was hard keeping up with all the big news of the week.

Of course, there is the ongoing war in Iran, now 81 days old.

Nobody seems to know how and when it's going to end, including Donald Trump.

On top of that, it looks like there could be a new war in Cuba.

American troops reportedly could be on their way as early as this weekend.

Meanwhile, congressional Republicans were hit with a triple whammy this week, President Trump asking them to vote for three hot-button issues. One billion dollars for the president's new ballroom,

$1.8 billion to compensate those who attacked the United States Capitol on January 6,

and a plan to bar the IRS from ever auditing tax returns from anybody with the last name of Trump.

But instead of voting on any of those Trump's wish list, Republicans in Congress did what they

always do best.

They ran out of town.

So what happens when they return?
