Mack, as you move on to the regular season,

what is your expectation on what your role will be for the opener?

I mean, right now, just like I always say, I'm focused on today. I think there's a lot of

stuff I can clean up. I held the ball a little too long at some points today, but I'll work on that.

And, you know, when the next day comes around, I'll watch the film and figure out what I need to do better.

But I'm here to play any role that I can play and help me any way I can.

And I'm going to be ready whenever my time comes.

So, like I said, we've got work to do.

And we'll get the things fixed.

And then we'll just keep rolling.

That's hopefully Patriots quarterback, week one, Mac Jones, weighing in after the game.

Why?

It always sounds like he's like whispering. It always sounds like he's whispering. Is that because these things are, are they done on Zoom? Does that kind of change? I feel like it always sounds like he's whispering. I would think so. The lack of any audience in front of you, if you're just strictly on a Zoom call, there's no reason to project. Like, it doesn't quite sound that way with Mac Jones. But anyway, I'll be honest. And I've said consistently now for months, not just I want Mac Jones to be the guy. I think he's going to be the guy. They drafted him 15. He's outplayed Cam at every turn. I mean, again, 10 for 14 last night. Three or four. Not every turn. Not every turn. Just about. Eagles game. Cam was better in the Eagles game. Cam was better in the Eagles game. Fair. And then there was one practice on, on balance. So every time,

pick. The pick, I'm sorry, was on him. If not for Myers being unable to come down with the football, then for missing Kendrick Bourne, streaking wide open up the left sideline. Poor read, poor throw, even if Myers should have come down with it. And then Mack Jones, a little shaky on his first two drives. I'll admit. I don't really count the third drive before halftime. He had like 20 seconds. The two drives coming out of half, though, he was great. Again, three for four, 50 yards, touchdown. The next drive they score again, should have been a touchdown. It was dropped in the end zone. So, you know, Mack Jones again was great. And he's the 15th pick for a reason. He's out playing Cam Newton, who's no longer good. You guys both said it earlier. Like, neither are you think he'd really even latch on with another team even as a backup. So he's not going to latch on anywhere else. He could latch on with another team as a backup. But here, this is the one team where he has a chance to start, which is why he's not leaving. Had past tense, because I still think it's going to be Mac week one. I do. And I like the conspiracy theories that Jeff Howe was floating earlier today. But I will acknowledge this. And this is why I wanted to play that Mac Jones clip. I did not like that answer from him last night. I didn't. He said, uh, I'm here to play any role I can play and help any way I can, I'm going to be ready whenever my time comes

up. That admittedly does not sound like a guy who thinks he's starting in two weeks. I mean,
