Vanity Fair and I'm here with Vanity Fair senior writer Joanna Robinson.

Hello Richard and digital director Mike Hogan. Hey guys! So we have a couple things to

talk about this week from movies to television to well the future of movies with the Cannes Film Festival is about to announce its lineup next week so we thought we'd go through a list of kind of potential movies that could be there.

First, we want to start with the present.

This week a movie called Collasal is opening.

It's an Anne Hathaway film that's directed by Nacho Vigalondo,

who previously had done a lot of really kind of smaller art house things and this is his first big you know thing with movie stars in it and I saw the Toronto and

Joanna when did you see colossal at South by Southwest and what were your impressions because it seems to be kind of a polarizing movie.

I really liked it, but what did you think?

I loved it.

I had gone in.

I read your review out of Toronto and so I was like really excited ever since I read your review

which was very positive and the right amount

of oblique I think. So you know I made sure that I got tickets to see it at Southby and I went in and

you know not to be a londo was there. It's being distributed by neon which is the Alamo Draft House's distribution arm.

This is one of their first films I think yeah. Yeah absolutely and they made some like sort of muscly bids to grab this and a couple of the things from Sundance and so you know like Tim League from Almo was there and they were all like in their cups and really excited.

Jason Soudekis was there and the mood was like really high in the room.

But what was interesting to me is something that they said they had found out from
