In tonight's story we meet Elise, a woman whose life has been shaped by a trail of haunted homes,

each one more unsettling than the last.

What begins as a single eerie encounter soon becomes a pattern she can't ignore. Shadows shaped like people, lights turning

on by themselves, and in the worst cases, fire. Blazes that consumed homes without explanation, both hers and her brother-in-laws,

years apart, but standing on nearly the same patch of land. Is at least simply unlucky, a magnet

for the unexplained, or are there places in this world, homes, land, corners of memory

that choose not to forget their dead. Her story raises uncomfortable

questions about the nature of hauntings. Are they tied to places or to people? And what happens
