Summary

The marriage market in the world of Bridgerton is a strategic dance of advancing family fortune and political clout. The accompanying debutante presentations before the real-life monarchy were phased out decades ago by Queen Elizabeth II. But Executive Producer Betsy Beers shares why it’s the kind of snow globe of rules and social codes Shondaland likes to shake up.  On this episode the hosts explore the rites of exclusive Regency spouse-shopping. Author Julia Quinn also makes her first appearance on the podcast to ponder the stories of men and women who weren’t invited to the matchmaking balls. Executive Producers: Lauren Hohman, Sandie Bailey, Holly Frey, Gabrielle Collins  Producer: Chris Van Dusen  Editor: Chandler Mays Host/Guest-hosts: Gabrielle Collins, Dr. Hannah Greig, Jess Brownell Learn more about your ad-choices at https://www.iheartpodcastnetwork.comSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
