Hello, my angels. I hope you're well. Welcome to the podcast. Today I kind of want to talk about

0:07.8

marathon training, gym, nutrition, my mindsets around it. And I'm sure once I've done the marathon,

0:15.9

I'll have a load more tips from the actual race day. But I know that I've got like some strong mindsets going into

0:25.0

the race I hear a lot of people have like race time goals even if it's their like first or second

0:33.6

marathon which I think is absolutely fine but on on my behalf, I found that really detrimental

0:41.3

to my first marathon because I actually had never done a marathon, obviously, it's my first one,

0:47.3

but you have no idea what to expect. You haven't learned enough about running. You haven't

0:51.6

learned enough about the race. And just to whack on a time like you

race time like what are you trying to get?

1:11.1

And every time I'm like, I'm going in to enjoy it.

1:14.9

And because that's been my mindset from as soon as I started my marathon draining four months ago,

1:21.1

I've noticed some real progress.

1:24.3

And I am super, super proud of myself.

1:26.4

Like, I don't know, I just didn't think that like

1:30.0

you could reap so many rewards and see so much progress and just be proud of yourself

1:36.2

without being strict with yourself or harsh or like you needed to reach something or even if it

1:43.0

wasn't purposely like in a negative harsh way

1:46.6

you'd kind of have an attitude of like okay but I need to do this I need to be able to achieve this

1:50.9

whereas I've really just gone in and I've just been like so chill and I've trained hard in my
