I wanted to ask you, first off, as we get started, take me back to a week before January 6th, 2021. What's your life like?

You know, Steve, I was a proud member of the United States Capitol Police at that time, a week

before, probably 12 years of service already

in. I've seen all kinds of protests. I've seen, you know, shootings at the, all kinds of things.

January 6th, well, people don't realize, January 6th happened every four years since the beginning

of, you know, the inception of the Constitution and

everything like that. But the only reason people know about it now is because of what happened,

obviously, at the helms of Donald Trump. But, you know, the Capitol was closed. We're in the

middle of COVID. It was quiet. Congress people came in and they had their votes and the tours were closed. So it was just a quiet government building. You know, it wasn't the U.S. Capitol, obviously, as business as usual, but it wasn't open to the public. So that's what kind of makes what happens on January 6th even more crazy because, like I said, it wasn't open to the public.

And it was just Congresspeople voting on bills and this and that.

Do you remember your first day of duty showing up at the Capitol with the badge?

Yeah, I sure do. It was, um, 2028. And, um, you know what? I, I, I, what, one of

the most poignant moments of early in my career is the day that they passed Obamacare.

It was on a Saturday. and that was one of the biggest

protest that I've been a part of. And I was like, wow, this is how government works. People

protest, you know, vote, and that's the way that it goes. There were hundreds of thousands

of people at the U.S. Capitol. It was a Saturday. That's all I remember, because I know we had
