As the Biden administration takes the reins, what will change about U.S. policy towards China

and what will remain the same?

Morning, Brian. Always glad to be here.

Ken, first of all, we're going to talk about China, and we're going to do a number of shows with you.

Right now, we're going to talk about the incoming Biden administration's orientation towards

China, what its foreign policy is expected to be, how it differs or how it remains the

same with the foreign policy towards China articulated by Donald Trump's secretary of state

Mike Pompeo. We're going to talk about what's new, what's the same. But we also want to look at

U.S.-China relations, and in particular,

China's foreign policy orientation over multiple periods, several decades, different stages

since 1949 when the Communist Party came to power at the conclusion of a 27-year-long civil war, where the

Communist Party came to power and China became one of the socialist bloc countries.

So we're going to cover a lot of territory.

But we want to start first with, you know, Mike Pompeo, Anthony Blinken, the new Secretary of State.
