he is obviously the focal point of the last decade of sixers basketball but you will hear a lot

about his failures is coming up short his lack of playoff success and ultimately how it ties back

to his own individual legacy.

But is he the most to blame for the Sixers' lack of playoffs to sex success over the last decade?

We'll get into that in today's show.

Derek, it's Wednesday. It's Hump Day. It is Wednesday. And we're going to embrace debate a little bit here. A little bit of debate. You know, I'm actually curious to the lists that we came up with, how different our lists are. But we're just going to go through a bunch of things, both overrated and underrated, on why the Sixers haven't gotten as far as you would expect. You know, I guess sort of just to lay it out, which just will probably

reveal some of my leanings. One of my main thoughts on basketball is that stars tend to get,

like, when people are frustrated, stars take a brunt of that criticism,

deserve it or not.

You know, I think it's probably stems well before Joel and B.

This probably goes back to the Alan Iverson era, where if they fail to build a proper team

around them with the talent necessary to compete, you end up getting frustrated at the one

person that's actually making

your franchise relevant and overlooking the failures of everyone around them.

Now, that doesn't mean that who we talk about is blameless.

Like if I say somebody is, you know, is an over, like the, if, because we're going to

overrated, underrated on causes, if I say this cause is an overrated, you know, it's overrated by the fan base or overrated by the media. It's not saying, it's not saying they're not part of the blame. It doesn't mean that they didn't come up small. It just means they are talked about a little bit too much. and likewise, if somebody is underrated as a cause of why they came up short,

it doesn't mean that they are necessarily the primary cause or even a secondary cause. It just

means that they're kind of skating by, you know, not necessarily drawing the criticism maybe they
