0:33.2	The Elder Wond was the first Hallow created, made by death himself, and it was said to be

0:41.4	The elder wand is made of elder wood, and its core is the tail hair of a thestral.
0:46.3	It's 15 inches long and has carvings down its length that resemble clusters of elder

0:52.3	With the elder wand, witches and wizards have historically been
0:55.3	able to produce intensely powerful magic that others could only dream of. Some magic is
1:00.8	actually altogether impossible without the elder wand, including things like mending other
1:06.3	ones. We see this powerful artifact pass hands on numerous occasions throughout the Harry Potter
1:11.3	story and its ownership is of utmost importance to the plot.
1:15.9	After all, it's the ownership of the elder wand that eventually allows Harry to defeat
1:20.3	Voldemort, firing his own killing curse right back at him.
1:24.1	But before Harry became its owner in his final showdown with Voldemort at the end of

1:31.3	Conventionally, it is believed that Dumbledore was the owner, followed by Draco who disarmed
