So I've seen a lot of negative stuff on there, out there on X from uh you know fans of your school and uh you know

i'm happy to correct any uh misconceptions that maybe out there as best i possibly can well it's funny

how it turns out and kind of the nature of everything you're like of course florida's in lane

tiff and sweepstakes and he's target number one, and it doesn't work out.

And in some ways, it looks like settling for the next candidate, and it's John Somerall.

But then you and I were talking about before we recorded, hey, yeah, there was a press conference,

and opening press conference and seemed to sway a little bit of Gator

Nation when he was up there and discussing in front of the microphone his first time

you know kind of just being able to tell Gator Nation hey this is who I am and this is

what we're going to do so certainly a checkmark in the early stages of John Summerall and trying to win every Gator Nation a little bit.

Yeah, I mean, I would say if you're a Florida fan and you have had a negative reaction to John Summroll's hire,

the rumors that he was going to be on your short list of candidates or that he was going to be hired,

and you were swayed by Monday's press conference.

I mean, I have to ask, like, did you know anything about him prior to Monday?

Because what you saw for 50 minutes on Monday is exactly who the guy is, especially, you know,

the second half of his appearance where he's just taking questions.

There is no prepared script. There's no prepared speech or anything like that.
