And an athlete who came by this week to talk with me a little bit is the 2023, 24, Trinidadian National Championship medalist in a 400 meter. In 2024, he's an SEC spring academic honor roll, 24 Paris Olympian in a 4 by 400 meter relay.

He is on LSU's all-time top-10 performance list in the outdoor 4-400-meter relay race.

And in 2024, he earned first team All-American honors with the 4-400-meter relay team. He loves fashion, travel, and most importantly, he's an LSUU Tiger. Ladies and gentlemen,

Shaquine McKay. Shikim, how you doing, man? I'm good. Just chilling every day, you know,

we out here today is cool and, well, for the last week it's been cool. I'm uncomfortable with that

because, you know, I'm from a warm place in the Caribbean, But it's nice. I like it here regardless. I'm good right now. So, definitely. So being from the Caribbean and everything, what is the first thing, the first difference? You probably noticed when you first came to Baton Rouge. I came here in January, so I'll say definitely the weather. I left home. It was like 90 degrees. I came here. It was like 40 degrees. So it was an immediate shocker to me, but I want to let things really pull me down. I just got my layers up and I was good.

And you were good. So everything was pretty similar to everything. It took me a while to adjust to it, but I didn't make it a big deal. Yeah, you're good. And being able to adjust to everything. So before we get into more about who you are, I just want to throw a quick couple of rapid fire questions at you real quick. You're good.
