Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen, to another episode of the Real Deal podcast.

I'm your host, Jamar Lincoln, Assistant Director of Vin IL, and we're here with another special

guest. She is a freshman all-around gymnasts for the LSU Tigers. Prior to LSU, she attended

Valley Christian High School, where she was a five-time state champion and a three-time national

qualifier. She was also rated as a five-star recruit and one of the top 30 gymnasts in the country.

She's looking to make an immediate impact for the Tigers just winter from Chandler, Arizona. Ladies and gentlemen, Miss Molly Brinkman. Hi. Molly, how's it going? It's good. How many of me here? Yes, thank you. Thank you for coming on. So we got to really jump into it and everything on your car keys i

mean i was obviously holding them there's yeah a legoo goofy like yeah micky and goofy like where

did that come from are you into legos or no i didn't even like grow up doing legos or anything

but um back home had somebody that we would call each other like, you're so goofy, you're so goofy.

And so then I was gifted, goofy keychain, and that's about it. I mean, I feel like it's pretty good, too, though, because that'll kind of keep you in the happy, light, moves, like spirit. Yeah, and it's literally, it's like two years old, so, and I just play with it. It's like my fidget. I can't get rid of it on my car keys, and so it like completely worn down and everything but I love it.

Yeah exactly. I mean you all need we all need to have something like that too. Like I have a lightning

McQueen little car thing yeah in my dashboard now it's been there for about four years, five years.

Lightning's not red anymore. It's like a faded dark red. Yeah that's how that is. Yeah it's really

one to help me know okay this is my car if I'm like looking and walking in the wrong car. But it's just fun things. But from Chandler, Arizona, I mean, what was life life for you growing up? What was your childhood like? Talk to us a little bit about that. So I have one sister and then my parents. I grew up there my whole life.

I moved for the first time this year actually. I was in the same house all growing up. I went to a couple

different schools, but I wasn't one of the ones that like bounced around bounced around. I kind of, like, stayed in the same spot, but it's hot and dry, and yeah, that's about it.

That was it. And for you growing up in the same household, and this is your first time actually moving,

did you miss home a lot making that transition to Louisiana? Yeah. I thought I was going to be so homesick. Like I was telling my mom and all my friends, like, you just wait. Like, I'm going to be calling you crying and all this stuff. But I've had such a good time here. Like, I have not been homesick. My friends ask me and stuff, and I'm like, I don't know how or why, but I just really enjoyed it. I've had a blast. That's good. And I really think, too, your teammates, probably people, your friends kind of make it a home away from home. And I mean, honestly, too, you're so busy as a gymnacy. I don't think you're, you can be homesick. Not saying you don't have time

to be homesick, but by the time you get home, you're studying and exhausted and wake up the next day,

do the same thing. Do it again. Exactly. Yeah. But have you been back home yet? I went back over
