Welcome back to the Real Deal podcast. My name is Taylor Jacobs, and we are so excited for you guys to be tuning back in today.

We have had a ton going on with NILSU in the

recent months and we are excited because we are moving forward with a lot more exciting things.

And today I'm super excited to have the president of Bayou Traditions, Brent Cunningham,

with us to talk a little bit more about collectives. I feel like this is kind of a topic that

people don't really want to talk about. Some people avoid it. And I just want to dive right into it. So, Brent, welcome. Thanks for being with us today. Yeah, excited to be here. Yeah, you want to just give everyone a little bit of your background. Tell us a little bit about you. I obviously know you because we have a relationship, but you know. Yeah, you. So I've got a career background in college athletics, worked in the compliance industry,

which carries a little bit of a taboo, you know, type of, type of feel, which I guess, you know,

the collective area is also a little taboo, but we're trying to rectify that.

But went to LSU as an undergrad, I'm an alum. Moved over to Texas for the past 10 plus years or so. I was working at TCU and their athletics department. Moved out of there to go run one of their collectives. And now I'm back home. Nice. And we're happy to have you back in the bayou.

we knew each other really from the compliance world. And then when I had started at LSU,

you had just left LSU and we got to know each other through compliance. But what are you,

what are your thoughts on

NIL shifting from a compliance role to and in the NIL space like let's just open with that.

Yeah. Thoughts on NIL. You know I mean working in compliance you know we've we've tracked on NIL for

years right it's it's always just been hey don't do that right. You know if an athlete posted something

or selling a t-shirt like it's always like hey can't do that take right? You know, if an athlete posted something or selling a t-shirt, like,

it's always like, hey, can't do that, take it down. So now it's just a complete, you know, 180, right?

And how we approach things in the NIL space? It's how do we find more opportunities, you know,

for athletes, whether that's collective deals or brand partnerships or just working with different vendors for them to

maximize those opportunities. So it's, you know, it's been a lot different, you know, than working in
