Sam Cucks has mental health difficulties.

On the occasion she's been in court, charged with theft and fraud, part of her defence

is that she's being treated by psychologists.

But there is a side to some mental health problems, and that is that sometimes they can give

you certain skills. I don't say this lightly, but I do feel uniquely qualified to say it,

because as a comedian and filmmaker, I've had my own mental health troubles. Some years ago, I was given a particular

diagnosis to explain my mental processes. These processes have made life very difficult at times,

but they also make me more sensitive to people's emotions.

And when I'm being creative,

they make my work more astute and intuitive.
