Sometimes it comes down to look.

If there's a reporter in court when you're on trial.

If it's a widely publicised crime,

the court will be full of reporters.

But on another day, you might be lucky

that there's no newspaper reporter in court

and your case doesn't get picked up in the papers

or published online.

Because if your crime does get picked up online, it could follow you and eventually

expose you. October 2011, she was sentenced, having admitted fraud. That's exactly what happened

to the woman at the centre of this series. She was put on trial. There was a reporter in court and the case ended up in the papers and online.

We heard of how she'd conned a childless couple out of their savings.

Because of this report, that's how the world knows who carried Jade Williams really is.
