Where have the running back ceilings gone?

real time. I don't know, you know, necessarily when the release schedule will be because we're

kind of just recording an extra episode because we wanted to. We talked yesterday about more macro

trends. We decided to about more macro trends.

We decided to fire up another one today because you had had some great thoughts about the running

backs and how they fit in. We spent a lot of time talking about the passing game yesterday.

And we just spent a much time before this show discussing the running back stuff.

And it's just, it's such an intriguing question as well.

It starts with the macro trends.

It starts with, you know, scoring, being down, the defense is playing differently.

And the offenses had shifted even prior to that, more receivers on the field.

But over these last couple years, just to put numbers on it, we have not had, you know,

our buddy Pat Corrine has been calling it the legendary upside, right?

We like to use that term a lot on the show.

We have not had the legendary upside season.

I mean, Austin Echler last year, 22 PPR points per game, led all running

backs the year prior. Jonathan Taylor led all running backs right about 22 PPR points per game. Go back

prior to that and you have, you know, Alvin Camara's big season in 2020. He had 25 points per game.

That's the kind of legendary stuff we're talking about. Dalvin Cook was 24 that year. Go back to 2019.
