The Oh, Hello, friends. Welcome to the Sparkle Stories podcast. This is Elizabeth of Sparkle Stories.

And this week at Sparkle Stories,

we are exploring all the ways that stories can teach you new things.

And it's not in the way that you think like sometimes you think

oh the story is gonna explain things to me I'm going to listen and understand but I

don't mean that I mean that when you listen to a story and when you really drop in to the experience of the

characters you can discover new capacities in yourself. I'm using the word capacities, new skills, new strengths, new

ways of being. And I'm going to use this week's story as an example. It's called the

Rat Catcher's Sun. It's from the Bythsel, Bythmbal Collection. And in this

story, the young Rat Catcher, the young apprentice son, has to learn skills of patience and perseverance.

We'll call it, let's call it grit. He has to learn grit.

And over the course of listening to this story

and really dropping into the experience

of that

inside you, the experience of patience and confidence and perseverance and grit

are growing too. This is why we love some of the stories that we love

is because they help us wake up parts of ourselves that we very much want to wake up.
