Hey everyone, Chris here. It's just jumping in before you listen to the show to let you

know a couple of things. One, I'm uploading this on Friday, February 4th. Now Fridays,

of course, are usually the day that the regular Empire Podcast gets uploaded in all its glory,

but that is not happening today. Why? Well, simply because episode 500, yes, 500 of the

Empire Podcast is being recorded tomorrow in an epic live show at Kings Place in London,

which by the way, you can still see online fire a streaming pass if you fancy or you can

wait for the edit to show to come out on Monday. But if you do want to see it live and you

can't get there in the flesh, sold out of course, but if you have got a ticket and you want

to see it live, then you can pick up a streaming pass right now, Kingsplace.co.uk, right

enough for the shame that's plugging. Episode 500 is happening, so there is no podcast

today. So instead, I'm bringing you an extended Donnie N. Interview Special, which would be

up soon. And I can't quite believe this is happening an actual episode of the ranking

live and in the wild. Yes, the ranking hasn't exactly been in a regular addition to the

Empire Podcast schedules, but I promise you folks that is mostly going to change from now

on. You can expect them on the regular. I'm going to start off with a cracker and absolutely

cracker as four members of team Empire discuss the work of Stanley Kubrick. And in a way,

actually, the fact that there was almost a two year gap, I think, between the last episode

of the ranking and Kubrick is quite apt. Really, I think Stanley would approve. Anyway,

I'm not on this one. This one is hosted by Ian Freer. At that point, Ian Freer didn't

have a microphone, so I explained why he sounded a little bit echoey, but he's also joined

by Alex Goldfrey, Neil Alcock and Beth Webb. It is a cracking episode. So here you go.
