Hey there boys and girls welcome to the Ralph report for a Friday.

Made it to the end of the week. It's March 2nd and today's a very special day on the

Ralph report. We're blowing out the usual show.

And we're doing a very special interview today

with a dear, dear friend of mine.

It was less than a week ago. Sunday night when I was working on

the Ralph report prepping it for the Monday show and I got a weird message from

someone who was at the Alex Theater in Glendale, California.

It was ready to see the second show that Kevin Smith was supposed to perform and let me know

that an ambulance had been called and Kevin was taken to the hospital for what they said they thought

was food poisoning.

So at the time I was obviously concerned and I reached out to my buddy Kevin and I couldn't get a hold of him and so I got a hold of his wife

Jennifer and she was on her way to the hospital and she didn't know much more than I did but then she got back to me and she told me in fact

that Kevin had had a massive heart attack and when something happens like that to

someone you love the the bottom drops out of your world and everything kind of stops and you when you go

go into a tail spin and it was a crazy couple days.

He had a procedure done immediately at the hospital because of a complete blockage of his

artery.

And I saw him the next day in the hospital.

It was remarkable how healthy and in good spirits and in good humor he was.
