Summary

On this week's episode, we're evoking the spirit of American Beauty with lesbian director Jamie Babbit's incest drama/thriller The Quiet. Thankfully we've got Patrick Hamilton and Gena Radcliffe of the Kill by Kill podcast to help us unpack all of the lurid melodrama of this Elisha Cuthbert/Camilla Belle stinker. Where did this snooze worthy film go wrong: the languid pacing? The atrocious dialogue? Aiming for prestige instead of embracing queerness and camp? In between bouts of maniacal laughter about milkshakes, masturbation and Belle's complete lack of screen presence, we never quite reach consensus (Trace *likes* this film...but can't explain why!). All we know for certain is that Connor Kennedy wants to fuck us! Resource: If you are a child or know of a child who is being sexually abused, please contact the Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline Questions? Comments? Snark?
