One of the reasons that we do not pursue Christ as we ought is we're just not hungry enough yet.

Because you know how it is when you get real hungry.

Only food matters. This lady has a bunch of

issues. We're introduced to her in verse 25 and a woman who had a hemorrhage for 12 years. So she is

physically drained because she's losing blood.

So she's got some physical issues.

She also has some financial issues.

Because according to verse 26, she had consulted many physicians and had spent all she had.

Not only did she have physical issues and financial issues, she had

social issues. Because you see, in this day, when you shed blood, you were viewed as unclean

and were cut off from family and friends and society because if you shed blood according to Old

Testament law anyone you touched became unclean with you so she's got social issues but now

if you've got physical issues financial issues and issues, I can assure you you have psychological

issues because that kind of stuff messes with your mind.
