I want to share this morning the purpose of promotion.

The purpose of promotion.

Joshua chapter 3, I'm going to take the verse from

Joshua chapter 3 verse 7 it says the Lord said to Joshua this day somebody say

this day come on Chetaynebo say it could be today this day I will begin to

exalt you in the side of all Israel that they may know that as I was with Moses

so I will be with you and then if we go further into Joshua chapter where God actually fulfilled that.

Okay, well, chapter 4 verse 14. Yeah, chapter 4 verse 14. On that day the Lord exalted Joshua in the side of all Israel. And they feared him as they feared Moses all the days of his life. So in chapter 3, verse 7, it says, this day I will begin to exalt you and then in chapter 4 verse 14 it says on

that day the Lord exalted Joshua in the side of all Israel I want to if you are taking notes

I want you to write this down God's promotion follows God's process there is a process to God's promotion. Now promotion, I don't mean

when you get a bonus at your work. Promotion, I don't mean when you get a new car. Promotion is not

when you move finally from a ghetto into a nicer area. Promotion, I don't mean that you finish

college. We're going to look at what

promotion is according to the scripture, but I know all of us, we want God to be involved in our

life. Now, there is a tendency in the Christian circles that take this to the extremes on both ends.

One extreme that believes that God wants you to be broke busted and disgusted and that God

finds glory when you're pitiful there's another it's called the poverty gospel and then there's

another extreme that believes in what we call the prosperity gospel and that's you know bling and bling

wealthy healthy God wants to have a rose royce a jet, and then he wants you to live in Hawaii on
