There is a bit of a hubbub today

because residents of one of the villages,

which are every big city has these little hamlets

that develop because they don't want to be part,

they don't want to get swallowed up by the bigger city

so they incorporate.

And so there are what are called the villages

and they're just west of downtown Houston

and there's about, well, there's four of them

and then across I-10, there's probably another three

or four more.

Basically, Voss and I-10, for those of you in Houston,

Voss and I-10, till about Guessner

on both sides of the highway.

So it is the most conservative of your urban dwellers

in the region.

They are the minority in the areas around that

that are not in the villages,

are in the minority of the city of Houston.

The villages themselves are pretty conservative.

It's what would loosely be called memorial residents,
