Summary

Both the Landlord and Regular are swanning about Europe this week, as is their want. But Robbie joins us from The Moon Under Water’s German outpost to chat to We Are Beer director Greg Wells.

We Are Beer run some of the UK’s biggest beer festivals and they also recently released their Top 50 UK Beers list, so be sure to have a look at the list for a buffet of British recommendations.

Robbie and Greg settle in to cover all sorts. From carbon positive beers and current trends to behind the scenes on the sheer logistics of organising beer festivals with thousands of people and kegs. Plus, what is the impact of serving masses of people almost unlimited beer samples?

Do get in touch with any of your correspondence. From famous historical pubspeople to animals in the local, we’ll have a bumper round of emails next week. The place to email is [email protected]. Or feel free to DM us on socials @moonunderpod.

biggest kind of big, good beer festivals. We've got one in London at Tobacco, Dark Manchester and

1:31.8

judging panel for. Indeed. Indeed you were, Robbie. First of all, it's the list of all

1:40.6

sort of beers in the UK, the most popular ones. How did the judging process work?

1:44.6

Well, that's a good question. We had a panel of 150 people and that was made up of brewers and

1:54.5

founders and, you know, beer media people like yourself and some retailers, our own team. So that was one
