So on July 20th, 1944, we're at the Wolfsler, Adolf Hitler's Eastern Front headquarters.

It's a forest complex, a reinforced bunker in East Prussia,

where he would go when they were running the invasion of Russia and he would be there having

his high-level strategy meetings and that sort of thing. That's the Sunday Times special

You have a group of senior German officers gathered in the conference room, in the Wolfsler,

and one of these officers is Colonel Klaus von Staufenberg.

Klaus von Stoffenberg, 36, a colonel on the general staff.

He is sickened in 1938 by Hitler's treatment of the Jews and by Nazi brutality and joins the resistance.
