Though I said last Sunday was our last time on Providence, I felt like maybe we weren't done with the

prayer issue, and so I'm going to spend one more night on Providence and Prayer.

As you can see there, Providence and Prayer.

And just take further the problem we were dealing with right at the end of last time why pray if God has ordained everything

to happen ahead of time that That's going to happen.

And what we'll do, we'll pray in a minute to ask the Lord's guidance,

but at the end, I've tried my hand at a little John Bunyan dialogue here between prayerless and prayerful.

And prayerless has all these objections,

and prayerful has all the answers.

So we'll see if that can be maybe our climactic thing tonight.

And maybe there'll be some time for questions too.

Let's pray.

Lord, prayer is an unspeakable gift to the human race.

That you have structured the universe

and what comes to pass in it in such a way

that prayer is an essential element

in causing great things and small things to come to pass.

That you have, as Pascal said,

granted us the dignity of causality in prayer.

And I pray that this will come biblically clearer tonight

and then that it won't provide logical stumbling blocks for

people that you are God, that you destined and providentially ordain all things, and that that
