1:07.1	I am Brandon Chadwick, and with me today we have Dr. Nicole Bedera. How are you? I'm great. I'm excited to be here. How are you?
1:17.6	I'm doing well. Thank you for asking. I'm excited that you are here as well. Today we're going to be talking about
1:23.3	reactions to survivors and the way survivors are treated. We're also going to discuss your book.
1:28.6	And for those that do not know, Dr. Nicole Baderer, you've just recently wrote a book called
1:32.9	On the Wrong Side, How Universities Protect Perpetrators and Betray Survivors of Sexual
1:38.4	Violence. We will be discussing that today. But your overall expertise is in reactions to survivors and the
1:48.0	way survivors are treated.
1:51.0	And I've listened to at least a thousand survivor stories.
1:57.4	We've put out over 400, but I've listened to a lot of them. And there are just
2:03.2	so many times where survivors aren't heard. Survivors are doing their best to communicate
2:15.5	what has happened.
2:26.4	And the expectation of how a survivor is supposed to communicate gets mixed up.
2:30.7	Well, if this person is acting this way and the perpetrator or the alleged perpetrator is acting this way, why are they acting so common?
