I don't want to say it's an emergency pod because we knew the draft was happening,

but it kind of is an emergency pod because I wanted to get one more prospect series

on the full 60 surrounding the 2020 draft.

And I'm excited to be joined by a rightfully exhausted Scott Wheeler.

Scott, thanks for doing this.

How are you holding up?

Oh, it's been a whirlwind.

This draft, I think, took more out of me than previous drafts.

And I'm not really sure why, because normally you've got this sort of added stress of being on the road and being in a hotel room and sort of running around the rink, and the days feel a little bit longer when you're on the road. But I think just being at home and sort of grinding through it and having those two basically 24 hour days in the last 48 hours just took

the wind out of my sales a little bit. I woke up this morning feeling just absolutely sort of

exhausted, kind of like jello. And I don't know, maybe I over extended myself in the last couple

of days trying to do too much or whatever, but it's been a busy couple of days for sure and a weird couple of days and sort of not really how I expected this all kind of playing out. No, well, I think part of it was that the second day lasted, the second day of the draft lasted forever. It was excruciating, especially from my perspective where I, like, I don't even know who these kids are. So at least you're like, hey, interesting pick.

I'm like, is that a real name? They're making up names at this point. Yeah, that's part of it for sure. I mean, yesterday took, what, four hours longer than they said it was going to take, four and a half hours longer than they said it was going to take. That's crazy. And you might as well have thrown the sort of three minute, two minute timer out the window

because it got to the end of three minute, two minute timer out the window

because it got to the end of that window and basically every team had allowed it to sort of

lapse.

And what are you going to do?

You can't take picks away for teams that are being slow.

So they sort of two minute, three minute windows just kind of felt a little ornamental at times.
