One of the highlights of every baseball off season is the release of the new edition of The Process by Jeff Zimmerman and Tanner Bell.

I've got Jeff Zimmerman himself on the pod this week to discuss all the interesting new research in the latest edition.

We will be talking about that book, Jeff, for most of today's episode.

Real quick, I did want to ask, do you have to send royalties to Joila and Bede every time you use the title of the process? Or does this book actually predate him and he has to send them to you? It was right at the same time. It was kind of made us mad because we had picked the name, but it hadn't come out. And then it, then, um, Joe and Bid, they had their little thing. and it was like, it was kind of like a little bit mad, but we didn't change anything.

It was just like, I don't think we would have if it hadn't been that way, but since it had already been decided, and we actually asked people around like, oh, that'll work great.

And then it just is what it is.

But you didn't go with the tagline, trust the process or anything like that.

No, no, no, we didn't trust the process. Daytonmore had that one.

Yeah, fair enough. Yeah, what do we do to this process instead? I don't know. We'll find out over the bulk of the show.

But as always, I do want to get to some of the latest headlines. There's a few interesting

moves this past week, including the Cubs trading for Edward Cabrera. Edward Cabrera, a pitcher who's

seemingly been on the block for quite a while. Not the cubsiest of pitchers, though.

The Cubs in recent years have seemed to prefer guys who don't miss quite that many

bats, but at least manage contact pretty well and don't walk too many guys.

Cabrera, totally different type of pitcher.

Mrs. Bats generally has some walk problems, has some health problems as well.

But do you like this move for Cabrera going to presumably a better team and in a pretty good
