She is one of my favorite counselors, psychologists.

She loves the Lord, and she has fabulous insight on what it means to walk in the sexual identity that God has given us.

Thank you. episode of the Jada Edwards podcast. Okay, I want to jump right in. So I had, I've had so much great feedback from your breakout, but I knew it would be good

because this has been just an area of expertise that you really have taken a deep dive

into for years.

And I love it, particularly because I think, you know,

obviously our culture is wrestling with so many issues related to sex and sexual identity. And a

lot of times as believers, we get very stuck on the fruit of a poor identity, you know, whether it's

sexuality or same-sex struggles or transgender, gender.

All of these things really are just the fruit of some faulty theology, some things that we're

not believing to be true about God. So you talk about three views of wholeness, culture, purity,

and biblical. So explain purity versus biblical. Yeah. Yeah. So a lot of us who are in church

culture, we know sort of the purity message that is very focused on behavior. And so it's focused on,

hey, if you love God, you're not going to have sex outside of marriage. You're going to get married as a virgin.

You're not going to struggle with pornography.

You're not going to struggle with things like same-sex desire.

And it's looking, again, like you said, at the fruit, instead of the fact that

fruit comes from a completely transformed life at heart.
