Well, friends, welcome to the show. It's called Stand-A-. I am your host Greg Kockel and glad to be with you here today. I just came back for about nine days out of town we had a magnificent showing in Minneapolis about the same that we had last year just a little shy of 3,800.

So that's a lot of young people, middle schoolers and high

schoolers to be in one place, one church, nearly 4,000, and it was magnificent. That's all I can tell you. I love realities. I love

the impact they're having on people. I love the feedback that we get from

people who attend and I'm so proud of the team that put on a

tremendous conference every year. I do almost nothing all right I show up for a

couple of workshops on Saturday. I talk to donors at a special breakfast we have at

O' Dark 30 on Saturday morning before all the big stuff starts. I do a luncheon with the

adults that and leadership at noon and then I close the whole session with a closing thoughts challenge to the

Christians and to the non-Christians the tire kickers and it's my version of an

altar call I don't do that kind of thing very often or at least not the way most people think of it. I never did really understand this by the way one aspect of altar calls and that is when the pastor says now with every

head bowed and every eye closed and then he invites people to shoot their hand up real quickly.

And I had one pastor, I thought it did this pretty well.

He say, okay, I see your hand, is that what you're doing?

Are you receiving Christ right now? now okay tell the person next to you

tap them on the shoulder and tell them that you're receiving Jesus right now so there is an

element in that particular pastor's approach that made the decision a little bit more public but I

I realize what people are trying to do they're giving an altar call and they want

people not to be embarrassed or in a sense have to

identify themselves at that moment as someone that is identifying with Christ in faith, in trust, and belief.

I understand what they're trying to do, but why is that significant?
