If God is all-powerful, why doesn't He destroy evil?

Listen closely to Adrian Rogers.

We live in a sin-sick world.

What somebody says, well, okay, why doesn't God just kill the devil and why doesn't God destroy evil?

If God were to step in and destroy evil, God would be destroying freedom.

If God destroyed freedom, God would destroy the opportunity to love.

If God destroyed the opportunity to love, God would destroy the highest good.

So God does not destroy evil.

God defeats evil, and there is a big difference.

Pain is discouraging.
