Summary

Many Christians rightly believe that they need to read the Bible but do not properly understand how to approach the Word or what its purpose is in their life. Understanding how to hear the Word, read the Word and study the Word is vital. But a recent LifeWay Research study found that the way Christians actually read their Bibles was much less frequent than one might think. Dave Jenkins and I are discussing why Biblical literacy is important and how to grow in the knowledge of God-- not just for knowledge's sake but so we grow in our love for Him.

Hey. Hey guys, welcome back to Kindold. I'm your host Haley. Today I have an excellent episode with Dave Jenkins, author of the book, The Word Explored, and he's going to talk to us about the problem of

biblical illiteracy and what we can do about

0:56.2

it. Before I get into that, a couple housekeeping notes. As always, I love to remind you, if you've

not left a rating and review to do that in the podcast app, it greatly helps Kindled be found

from this podcast. They are exclusive for our Patreon audience. Only people inside Patreon hear them.

They are less than 30 minutes,

2:02.0

so they're shorter. And, you know, it's not like you have an entire second hour of podcasts

I usually record them on Fridays. So they are to the minute, up to date, things that are happening,
