by assuring the true believers in Jesus of their eternal security. That's where he starts. He starts with assuring

us of our eternal security, the true believers. And then he concludes the epistle by assuring

those same believers that God is able to keep us all the way to eternity.

Now let's look at this comforting assurance for the true believers that we have only in Jesus.
